Glad to hear you had a good experience with your wisdom teeth. I had three different teeth pulled during two extraction sessions. The first one was scheduled to last 10 minutes, but it lasted almost an hour. I had local anaesthesia but probably should've been put under general as my dentist ended up cracking my teeth to pull them. Following the first extraction, I went home and experienced excruciating shooting pains in my head that seemed to originate from one of the extractions. The second experience was much better. The oral surgeon wasn't about to make any decisions for me and a team of nurses helped walk me out the door to my car after I woke up and had a few minutes of rest. My Jell-O legs scared my husband when we got home but I made it in with no issues. The only issue I had with the second round of surgery was with the pain killer that caused some nausea.

While the second experience boosted my confidence in the whole process, I have yet to find an oral surgeon that will pull my final tooth. Had one dentist say he needed to dislocate my jaw (What?! Really?!) and have had two others refer me to other oral surgeons. What part of the country are you in? Would you recommend your dentist to others?
