Thank you so much for coming to the site and posting these questions, and sharing this information with us! For me, this is a bit of a red flag. I just glanced at the Dr. TED website, and I'm more than a little concerned. I honestly don't know enough about the Dr. TED diet to be able to tell you whether this is good for you or not, but I think it's so important that we follow our intuition on things. In this post, you are telling me that you've already spent a lot of money on this program without a lot of results, so to me, this seems like your intuition is telling you that you are not going in the right direction with this program. I don't know how much time you've spent on this program or have been on it, and I don't know how much money it is, but I'm imagining that it's a substantial sum for you to say "a lot."

In the end, it all boils down to this--if you are not getting the results that you think you should, we need to get you some alternatives. There is so much information, and there are so many women who were right where you are now who might be able to help you. But in order to be able to direct you, I'd like to collect a little more information first--for example, why do you think that you have a hormone issue, have you had a hysterectomy, and why have you chosen to go this route with weight loss? Also, have you tried any other options to lose weight?

From my experience, I went to different doctors and I tried many different weight loss programs and what I found out each time is that they really didn't know the right way to lose weight--they were really just wanting to make money. And my weight wasn't going down either--it was just going up. It's sort of like when I was overmedicated and feeling poorly that I needed to take matters into my own hands, and what's when I started reading as much as I could get my hands on, and when I read "Screaming to be Heard" by Dr. Elizabeth Vliet, and I found the book to be so helpful. That's when I knew I was on the right path.

I truly believe that you will know when you hit upon the wellness program that is right for you--it will become very clear. You'll know it when you read it. You'll know it when you hear it. You'll know it when you see it. It will feel right. Women's intuition will never steer you wrong--but the problem is, we tend not to use it, especially when it comes to our health. And don't forget to talk to your friends, and see if they know a doctor that they like, and who might be able to help you.

I'm happy to give you as much information as I can, if you can reply to my questions above. I can help you with resources that you can look at and books that you might want to purchase that can help you sort this out.

Also, I'm not a fan of the pellet program. But it's not one that I've personally tried. I've just had so many women tell me that they got an infection from the pellets or that they experienced huge highs and lows--the pellets were put in and they got a massive dose of hormones even though they are supposedly time-released, and then when they wear off, there are so many things that can go with this. Depending on whether your body likes the pellets and tolerates them well or not, you might get benefits from them, or you might not get any benefits at all. In many cases, from what I've heard from other women and from what I've read, you are not keeping yourself level with your hormones with the pellet program. This is why I use a hormone patch, so I can have more constant levels instead of extremes from one end to another. But every woman is different and every body is different, so if it feels like a good option for you then maybe you should still pursue it, but I'd like you to talk to other women about it first.

I hope this helps--we are here for you. We're going to be developing groups around issues like these, and as soon as we get them going, we'll let you know. We love your participation! This is how we're going to change women's health.
