Insomnia could be caused by a variety of factors.

For my daughter, it's a physical issue - she has a cute little nose, but it isn't allowing enough air through her nasal passages. She has to undergo corrective surgery later this month, yikes!

For me, it's a matter of being a Type A+ personality, constantly in motion and always running on nervous energy. I've had to learn how to calm down without medication; I'm a distance runner, so I can burn off a bit of energy by literally pounding the pavement; and I allow myself time to "zone out" so that I can relax.

Each person is different, but you need to determine if the insomnia is a result of something in your head, or if it's a physiological issue. Then, you'll know how to deal with it.

My husband would say to you: stop worrying! Do you have a pet?
