Thanks for coming to EmpowHer. I hope that we can help you with your short term memory loss. It's the worst. There were days where I couldn't remember my name, not alone who I talked to an hour earlier.

What worked for me...getting my hormones balanced. I was lacking testosterone and estrogen. I also had a thyroid issue. I will tell you though...what I've learned from reading so much on the whole "Hormone" subject, is that women need three times more testosterone then men for brain function but yet our levels run much lower. I learned this by reading Dr. Vliet's books.

You can read Dr. Vliets book...The Savvy Women's Guide to Testosterone. We have it on the site in the product section. I have no more memory issues anymore.

Each women is different though. You need to find a doctor that can diagnose you properly and treat your accordingly. It's not a one size fits all approach. It's very different for each woman.

Find a doctor that you like. Work with that Doctor to get your memory back. Keep searching until you find the right doctor for you. You'll know that doctor, when you meet them. Follow your intuition.

I also had my blood work ordered by Dr. Vliet on a continual basis. She was constantly checking my levels. What I learned for me.. its not just about your hormone levels. It's also about how you feel. What are your symptoms??

Good luck and let me know what other resources we can provide for you.

Best in health,

Michelle
