I just read your profile, and you seem like you've been through a lot...but you also sound very energetic and happy! (I got this all from just 4 sentences...ha ha!) ;-)

I can also relate to your NICU experience: my son (also named Austin), was born 2 months early, and was in the NICU for 2 weeks. He miraculously was born with good lung function, but was unable to regulate his body temperature, weighed only 4 pounds, had severe petichia, and needed to be fed off/on through feeding tube. We had him home for a month, and had to go back to the NICU, as we found out he was born with bilateral inguinal hernias that needed to be surgically repaired. My son also went through a scare of a seizure, although from a one-time illness brought on by a high-fever; I can not imagine watching my son go through a condition that brings on multiple seizures...how do you manage this? The only preemie-consequence that we are dealing with now, (he is 20 months old), is low weight issues, but nothing too concerning (although, concerning enough).

I hope to hear more about your stories with your three sons, how you handled 2 of them being in the NICU...and your pathway/journey to now, with two of the three boys living with chronic conditions, one in his "terrible two's" (I only have 4 more months of sanity!). I am unfamiliar with most of the conditions you mentioned, and would be interested to hear more.

Plus...you mentioned that you are currently going to college. What is your major and when do you graduate? How are you juggling it all...all of us moms and parents on this site would love to know!

Take care..hope to hear from you again soon!
