I was going to have the thermal ablation (heat) until my Dr told me he has seen more long term problems from the heat vs cryo (feezing). My doctor told me that he has seen a lot of women scarring from the thermal ablation and that cause pain as well. So he said he was going to stop doing the thermal and only do the cryoablations. I haven't had it done yet, I am waiting on insurance auth. A friend of mine had the thermal and she said the pain afterwards for 4-6 hours that was severe and she has had a tummy tuck and said the pain was worse than that. I find that hard to believe, but she is not a baby when it comes to pain. More reason for me to do the cryo instead of thermal.
