What I appreciate the most about your story is that you exhibited sensibility and thoughtfulness in preparing for your travel and were not about to let your diabetes stop you. I hope others with diabetes, who have been afraid to venture far, take away the hope and knowledge that they can also be in control and enjoy their travels.
Too often, while on a trip, I've heard whining and complaining, and I just want to ask these whiners and complainers: didn't you plan ahead? I tend to over plan on purpose, too.
