If people want to receive information directly from the drug company, that's their option. Perhaps the person feels embarrassed or self-conscious about asking a health care provider for the same information. Who knows.
On the other hand, I understand the concern about self medication. However, we're expected to be informed consumers; that's what the drug companies are banking on.
The debate will probably continue until something tragic happens.
