Have you gained weight as a result of adrenal fatigue (low cortisol levels)? How did you lose it, or manage it?

My Dr. tells me that until I heal my adrenals, my metabolism isn't functioning. I have gained a lot of weight (15-20 lbs), mostly around the middle.

Congenital adrenal hyperplasia is a name for a group of related genetic conditions that affect the adrenal glands. Adrenal glands are a pair of walnut-shaped organs near the kidneys.

Why am I feeling bad after thyroid surgery?

I had my left thyroid removed in December, 2008 because of a nodule. It was benign.
All my TSH levels are in normal range. I take 50mcgs. of Synthroid daily.

I suffer from severe depression.

Nearly my whole adult life, I allowed myself to be stressed. In college I stayed up late studying and worried about financial aid. When I left college, got married and moved to another country, well... need I say more?

Pregnant with Hashimoto's and Doctor Discrimination

I have Hashimoto's Disease, a mild case which does not and has never required medication since diagnosed two years ago. I get blood work done every 3 months to make sure my levels are normal.
