I’ll be honest; I had to do a lot of research before sitting down to write this article. I have only come into contact with one uncircumcised penis during my short stint as a single adult woman, and it didn’t really seem to be that big of a deal at the time.

Bed Bugs: Sleeping Alone?

Bed bugs are becoming an increasing problem in apartment complexes, hotels and dorms. Their bite does not hurt but will cause a skin lesion similar to a mosquito or flea bite and it may itch. Nasty as it sounds that you may be sleeping with bugs, there is some good news. Bed bugs are not known to transmit any infectious agents.

Smoking is a nasty habit that increases your risk for so many unhealthy diseases. Smoking everyday or only in a social situation creates long term damage to your lungs and blood vessels. A new study shows that in as little as one year after quitting, blood vessels showed signs of reversing.

When I first talked with my parents about going to see a gynecologist and getting prescribed birth control pills, they freaked out. I was almost 17 years old and in a serious, long-term relationship. But the response I got was that I was being irresponsible just for having sex, and birth control was a no-go. A few months later, I had a pregnancy scare. I was lucky, but some young women aren’t.
