Me and my boyfriend were together last night. We kissed and stuff and i once layed on top of him but my stomach was where his penis was and my shirt was up a little so his penis was on my stomach. CLOTHES WERE ON. but it felt sort of like hot or something could sperm have been like coming through and i heard that if sperm got on our stomach it could still get to your vagina so i was going to make sure! and also i knw sperm cant go through clothing but the inside of my jeans were wet and my panties and i know that girls do that when they get "aroused" or whatever the term is but when i took my panties off like after he left, its usally more sticky and this time it was wet but iit wasnt as like goey i guess you could say! that couldnt have been sperm cvould it?? thanks!

I agree with Rosa.

Once sperm hit fabric, they die.

Hi Anon,

Like Alison said, sperm are not that strong to travel from jeans to underwear to find their way into your vagina and then impregnate you. It just doesn't happen this way. Sperm outside the body can only survive from a few minutes to only a couple of hours--making them weaker and weaker the longer they are outside of the body.

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your response. I think you are asking if sperm will enter your vagina from your stomach since you took a bath and the answer is no. If you have additional questions, please feel free to ask.

If he ejaculated (had an orgasm) then yes, sperm would have been ejaculated as part of the semen.

It sounds like you are under the impression that sperm are "all mighty", and even if he is wearing underwear and jeans, you are wearing clothing, and he did not even have his penis anywhere near your vagina (just your stomach), that you have this idea that sperm can penetrate through all of these layers of clothing, skin, travel long distances in search of the vagina.... that is just not so! :-) Sperm are not as magnificent as you give them credit for...they are actually very fragile and die within seconds when exposed to the air (they dry out).

If you continue being "paranoid" as you describe, please question your emotional readiness for this level of sexual activity, and educate yourself on what are risky sexual behaviors that could lead to pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases (what you did was NOT risky). ok thanks! one more question... if there was sperm like i took a bath after he left so would that matter?

February 6, 2011 - 11:14am

As you said, sperm can not travel through clothing. The sticky stuff on your underwear was also what you said...it was your own vaginal lubrication from being aroused. This discharge can be increased in quantity when aroused, and the consistency changes during your cycle (depending if you are ovulating, etc). This is all normal.

Sperm can not travel from your stomach to your vagina.
