My doctor prescribed medication for me and told me that It way take some time untill I am able to see my period. Suprisingly though, about 3-5 days within taking the treatment I saw my period. The first week was not full bleeding I was just spotting, the second week it was like a normal period, then the third week was aslo spotting. So in fact I was bleeding for a month and I'm actually confused as to when my period actually finished. It seems like a lengthy time since my last period, and I'm also very confused as to which time I can regard as my last period. Since 30th November I have also been witnessing some very white milky like discharge. What does all this mean?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for finding EmpowHER. I have been through dealing with ovarian cysts also. My doctor told me to chart my period by the one after treatment. If the milky discharge doesn't have a pungent odor, it's more than likely normal secretions you get during the course of the month. It may be a bit different given your treatment. Keep track of these things you notice on a calendar, so if you end up needing to call your doctor, you can clearly explain what's been going on. If you don't get your period this month, you may want to give your doctor a call just to check in and let them know what's happening. Hope that all makes sense. If you truly are concerned still, don't be afraid to call your doctor's office and ask the nurse your question. I know how confusing it can be when you have some sort of bleeding for seemingly a whole month.
