If you haven't ever had sex in anyway then it's probably your hormones. Being that your 14 yrs old, your periods can be irregular. This is the term to use with your mother. You didn't do anything wrong to be scared to tell her about it. I've had irregular periods until my early 20s when I was put on birth control to regulate my cycle.

Hello Anonymous,

If you have had intercourse since your last period, take a home pregnancy test. It is possible to become pregnant after a tubal ligation if recanalization occurs. This happens when the ends of the fallopian tube regenerates and form slit-like spaces and pouches or the ends of the tubes meet and re-establish the patency of the tube.

You need to contact your gynecologist, whether you choose to test or not.

Hello Anonymous,

You need to have a blood pregnancy test done. A blood test is more accurate. Schedule an appointment with your physician or visit a health clinic.

If indeed you are not pregnant, blood test can be done to check hormone levels and determine why your period is so late.

Maryann

Hi Anonymous,

Take a home pregnancy test in the morning. Having unprotected intercourse and a late period suggest pregnancy.
