Q:

Is a 29.5 progesterone level at day 21 good if you're trying to conceive?

I'm 37, have 2 kids, had a termination in 2006 (i regret this every day) and am now trying to conceive again. I've had 2 rounds of clomid (50mg) from day 3-7 and pregnyl on day 12. There was a follicle of size 25mm which according todoctor was very good. My day 21 blood test came back with a progesterone level of 29.5. Is this good, bad, too low? What does it say about my chances of falling pregnant? Thanks for any assistance.

Hi Anon,

In general, your doctor will want to see a progesterone level over 16 so your 29.5 is an excellent level when you are trying to conceive. During pregnancy, your progesterone levels can range from 9-47ng/ml in the first trimester. What did your dr tell you about this?

Hoping for a BFP for you!
