Well, if your doctor thinks that you are too young to be experiencing perimenopause, what does he or she think the cause of your late period is?
Has he or she ordered a blood hCG pregnancy test? This test is accurate to rule out pregnancy.

Hi,
You are of an age when some women enter perimenopause. If the pregnancy test results were negative, perimenopause could be the reason for a late period.
