hi there.
i've just had small pigmentation on ma upper cheeks and i went to dermotologist and he prescribed me 5% hidroyuinone in desowen lotion for 3 times a week and on 2nd appoitment which was after 2 months using of hidroqyinone he prescribed me to use RETREIVE cream which gave me melasma and discoloration all over ma face. hidroyuinon didn't work much on me but didn't give any allergic like i've got from retreive cream my face looks so danger now n really upset with that dermotologist coz when i first notice the redness by using cream i sent him message he said continue to use n that was my fault that i listened to him. then i search online and order rareextract body bleach which says permanent light cream and using this cream for a month hasn't done much so i had 5% hidroyuinone in desowen lotion in my freeze i thought i better use it again. but m on plan to get pregnent soon.

could u plz help me what should i do. m really upset with my life because of this unusual skin.
please please please suggest me some good thing.
with regards
deoma

Hi Anonymous,

I am familiar with Hydroquinone but I am not at all familiar with a medication known as Retrieve. The best thing you can do is to go back to your dermatologist so that he can see the melasma on your skin. Most of the creams and lotions prescribed for you face are highly sensitive to light so it is best not to apply them if you will be going out to the sun. Medications also come with an insert that will list all side effects, adverse effects, and when to stop use of the medication...if you still have this, please read through it thoroughly.

Best of luck,

Rosa

dear rosa thank u so much for ur reply. i actually don't want to go to that dermotologist anymore because ma face is more worse because of the retreive cream he suggested me.
i m avoiding sun exposer and using hidroqyuinone every 2nd night and rareextract body bleach every day and MISHA BB cream (42 SPF). because i m flyiing oveseas end of this month and don't have time to go to c another dermotologist but once i m back i'll go to another dr.
i've heard using hidroquinone is work better but it always come back is that true or it depends on the skin?
waiting for ur reply rosa.
thank u for ur precious time to reading my problem.
with regards

Hi Anon,

I haven't heard anything or read anything regarding hydroquinone only working temporaily. From my understanding, it is meant to be permanent. Please keep us posted when you return from your trip.

Best,

Rosa
