Hi mysterydust,

Most research indicates that if you are absent without a period for a consecutive 12 months, you are in menopause and will be safe from the chance of becoming pregnant since you are no longer ovulating. Although, you can purchase ovulation tests to be positive. If you are clearly concerned or are unsure about the time frame of your last menstrual cycle, go to your physician to be certain.

I hope this information helps you. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions you may have.
