my grandaughter was in high impact car crash last year,she suffered pelvic fracture amongst other major injuries,she weighed under 7 st at the time ,now 8 months after crash she looks 6 months pregnant due to abdominal weight gain ...her friend who was in crash as well is exactly the same ???

Have you discussed this issue with your granddaughter's physician? Weight gain after a pelvic fracture could just be from inactivity, but there is always a possibility of complications. I would bring this to the treating physician's attention and see what he or she thinks about it.
