Hello,
So i had my period earlier this month which is when i always have it. Then after it ended about a week later i had spotting which continued for a couple days and was just like a period but a lighter period. Im very healthy and not on birthcontrol or sexually active. Im 16 and my periods are usually very regualar. I just dont understand why i could have basically another period so soon after it ended? My period skipped before this one and i was wondering if its a way for my body to get rid of that months blood? Just not sure

Hi,
In teens, hormonal changes can cause irregular cycles. Your menstrual cycle should become more regular as you get older. However, if you continue to experience spotting between periods and your periods become very irregular, you should see your doctor,
During your period, you shed the thickened uterine lining and extra blood through the vagina. Your period may not be the same every month. Periods can be light, moderate, or heavy in terms of how much blood comes out of the vagina. The length of the period also varies. Most periods last from 3 to 5 days. But, anywhere from 2 to 7 days is normal.
