after receiving a transfusion for severe animia due to fibroids, the arm that had gotten the transfusion swelled

But I noticed after the fact only blood was given without any sailine the entire arm all the way to my fingers are swollen the next day after discharge but returned the next day due to painful swelling is this normal?

Please call your physician as soon as you read this reply. Contact the center where you received the blood infusion. Report the arm swelling and pain. Follow your physician's instructions.

This is not normal.
