Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. With more information about yourself, such as age, we could provide you with a definitive answer.

The menstrual cycle is regulated by a precise balance of hormones. Any changes or fluctuations in hormone levels cause irregularities. Possible reasons for not have a period for almost two months include pregnancy, perimenopause, hypothyroidism, excessive stress, extreme weight loss or weight gain, intense and prolonged exercising, such as training for a marathon or serious illness.

Regards,
Maryann

Hi Anonymous,

When was your last ob/gyn appointment? Time to schedule one.

The only way to know what is causing your symptoms and no period for two months is a physical exam with your doctor, who knows your medical history, can do a physical exam and order any necessary diagnostic tests, such as blood tests.

Regards,
Maryann
