I am on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and I had sex on Sunday night, but then forgot my pills on Monday and tuesday. I have been having symptoms of pregnancy, but am not sure if maybe I am just having premenstrual symptoms. Cramps, backache, tiredness, and nautia. It would be too early to tell if I was pregnant for atleast another week or so. Anyone have any advice for me?? Do you think I am already pregnant? I take my pills around the same time everyday but the last month or so, I have taken it a few hours past when I shouldve.

Hi,
It is too early for pregnancy symptoms, and if you just had sex on Sunday night (and today is Tuesday)...you may not even technically be pregnant yet (meaning, the fertilized egg probably has not implanted into your uterus). If an egg was fertilized on Sunday, it takes another 6-12 days for a fertilized egg to implant itself in the uterus. Then, at that time, the "pregnancy hormones" begin to release and this is when a home pregnancy test can detect a pregnancy...all about the time of an expected period (14 days after ovulation, plus/minus a few days).
Did you double-up on your missed pills, as your instructions say? If so, there is a small risk of pregnancy.
