Okay my last period was on October the 3rd 2014. I ended for about three days. I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend on several different occasions. Then like 2 days later I was spotting for maybe 2 hours. Now I am 6 days late. I was supposed to start on the 25th of this month. I took one pregnancy test on the 25th it come out inconclusive. I also took another on the next morning, it was inconclusive also. So I waited a couple more days. I took a third one yesterday and it came out negative. But still no period. My periods are always spot on. Never a day late. I also take synthesis. I don't have a thyroid. My levels are perfect. I get tested weekly. I have all of the period symptoms. But I am very emotional, very tired, and have been eating a lot more then I usally do. What should I do? I'm confused. This would be my first pregnancy if it is confirmed that I am. Should I wait another week to test again? Or should I make a doctors appointment. We only use the pull out method. Someone give me some answers please. I am under no stress, lack of sleep or anything.

Dear Anon
Thank you for your question and for choosing EmpowHER!
Anytime you have unprotected sex, you risk pregnancy. I can't tell you for sure if you are pregnant, but usually a pregnancy test can be taken 10-14 days after unprotected sex and when taken correctly, will certainly be accurate. What did you mean by inconclusive?? Did you mean that the test showed "Negative"?
If you are 6 days late, a pregnancy test should give you an accurate answer by now. When in doubt, call your doctor. He or she can do an exam to tell you for sure if you are pregnant or if there could be something else causing your period to be so late.
Did this help?
Best,
Kristin
