I missed the last 3 pills in wk 3. Instead of starting a new pack on Sunday and skipping a period, I decided to just start my period. So, my period came on Sunday. I had unprotected sex that week at the end on a Sat. I'm concerned that I could have ovulated given that I had missed my pills and potentially thrown my system off. Could I be pregnant?

Hello Anonymous,

No, I do not think so. You had just finished withdrawal bleeding when you had intercourse. You would not have been ovulating.

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. I am glad you reached out to us with your concern if you might be pregnant.

If you have had unprotected intercourse since your last period, over two months ago, it is very likely that you are pregnant.

Take a home pregnancy test tomorrow morning. Then, contact your gynecologist. Let us know what the test result is.

Regards,
Maryann
