I had unprotected sex with my bf and i took 4pills of nordette 4hrs after the deed then another 4 12hrs after the first set. After 7days i had bleeding that seemed like a normal menstruation. I'm still bleeding and it's the 4th day today tho it becomes lighter. I also experienced dizziness, mood swing, mild cramps, headache and lower back ache. We haven't had sex since. Usually my flow comes by the last week of the month. Does this mean that i'm not pregnant? Or am i? Please i'm worried. Please help me

Hi! Sorry to bother you again but I just couldn't stop worrying. So, I already used pregnancy tests twice and both gave me negative results. But still I haven't had my period yet. Though I bled when I took the nordette so i guess that's the mens (or not?). I am discharging white mens and i'm bloated but no other signs or symptoms of a possible pregnancy. Please i need to some advice or anything for me to be able to stop worrying about this. Thank you so much!

Hi again, Anon.
I'm sorry you are still so upset over this. There is not much more I can say at this point. That I have not said already in my other replies. If you don't believe the negative result of the test(s), call your doctor or planned parenthood for an appointment.

Best,
Helena

Dear Anon,

Thanks for contacting EmpowHer today.

Chances are you are not pregnant having taken the correct dosage. Common side effects of Nordette-28 include nausea, vomiting, headache, stomach cramping, bloating, dizziness, vaginal discomfort/irritation, increased vaginal fluids, or breast tenderness/enlargement. Vaginal bleeding between periods (spotting) or missed/irregular menstrual periods.

If you are still uncertain, to ease your mind, you can take a home pregnancy test. Moving forward, getting on regular birth control and using protection is a good idea if pregnancy is not desired.

Best,
Helena

Thank you for your response. Another question, should I get a home test kit now or should I wait for a few days/weeks? Thank you so much

Hello again!

It takes about 2-2 1/2 weeks from the time you had sex for your hCG levels to be high enough to be detected in your urine using a home pregnancy test.

All the best,
Helena
