I had unprotected sex on the 15th of the month, took an i-pill at the end, got my periods on the 23rd of that same month.
But, there has been a delay in my periods in the following month. Its the 28th I have still not got them.
You think I could be pregnant?
Please help me...

Thank you for ur reply.
Well to be very frank.. it was something very sudden tht took place... n to be very honest... we did try hard.. bt i dont thnk we fully got into it... due to it being the first time and the pain that i was experiencing.. my bf (who is experienced) thinks the intercourse didnt really take place... bt still there could always be a possibilitiy.. and hence i took an i-pill immeditaely... i did get my period in tht month as i mentioned the dates earlier... bt its the 2nd of this month... and i jst getting worried... I am sorry to say... bt I dont really think i can visit any doc... its impossible.. as if poeple in the society or around get to know anything like that it would be bad..

(does smoking delay them ? i do smoke tht often.. probably once a month, but at that one time i smoke abt 3-4 ciggs..)

I'm confused why you think you would be pregnant?

You had a period after your unprotected sexual encounter (and I'm glad to read that you were proactive and took an i-pill--or "emergency contraception"--afterwards).

You have a late period---when were you expecting your period? (How "late" are you?)

The only way you could be pregnant is if you had unprotected sex again after your last period (I assume it was the 23rd of May).

When you have a period, it means that you are shedding an unfertilized egg, and are not pregnant. Unless you had unprotected sex again, you would not be pregnant.

Since you are sexually active, are you currently seeing a Gynecologist? It sounds wise to ask about your birth control options, so you are not worrying for 2-months straight if you are pregnant or not. Have you considered getting on the pill or other form of birth control?

Me00,
I'm glad that Alison could ease your mind about being pregnant this cycle.
Can I ask how old you are?
Could you or your boyfriend at least buy condoms to use during sex?
The morning-after pill will in most cases prevent pregnancy, but it is no defense agains sexually transmitted diseases. It's important that you do something to protect yourself not only against getting pregnant but also against disease.
If you can't see a family doctor, would you like us to help you find a free or low-cost clinic where you can go by yourself or with a friend? If that's the case, let us know the city and state you live in and we'll see what we can find for you.
I'm glad you found EmpowHer. Now let's help you take the next step, since you are sexually active and are already worried about getting pregnant. Write back and let us know, OK?
