can i be leaking amniotic fluid at 8 weeks. I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and all day today i have had bladder pressure, having to use the bathroom very often. As soon as I go to the bathroom I feel like I need to go again and feel something on my underwear. They get wet. Could I be leaking amniotic fluid this early in my pregnancy?

It is impossible for us to know if you are leaking amniotic fluid, or some other type of fluid from your pregnancy...or if you are experiencing a urinary tract infection (the urgency to urinate more often). Some women do experience the need to urinate more often in pregnancy, but if you are having ANY symptoms at all that are concerning during your pregnancy, please do not hesitate to call your doctor's office. That is what the nurses are there for...they WANT you to call when you are pregnant!
