Hello Anon
Thank you for writing.
Americans are often low in Vitamin D especially in the northern part of the country where there is little sunshine or ability to go outside in winter (especially this winter!). So a supplement, taken with calcium, is a good idea. If you are getting plenty of sunshine (about a half hour a day) then you may be fine.
As far as fish oil supplements, if you're not eating fish and you want the benefits then take a supplement. Benefits include omega 3, DHA and EPA - all three are important acids.
