Are products labeled “hypoallergenic” safe to use on sensitive skin?

Got a skin reaction from product that was labeled “hypoallergenic.” Are there any federal guidelines with this label?

Thanks for your question. 

The answer is no, they are not exactly safe for sensitive skin as they may provoke a reaction in some people, but can work for others. 

Hypoallergenic does not mean safe, it just means SAFER than other metals.
