ask: Are you familiar with the Insulite PCOS System from www.insulitelabs.com? I don't know anyone that is.
All I know is that it is a supplement for the treatment of PCOS.

Dear Anon, thank you very much for your post and question. This is a great place to ask and learn more about new products, treatment modalities, etc. I have never heard about the Insulite PCOS System until now. I visited the website you provided and from the quick review, it appears to be a nutraceutical-based modality for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom (PCOS. Did not find any claims their system "cures" this condition. I am glad I did not.
PCOS is a hormonal imbalance linked to the way the body processes insulin after it has been produced by the pancreas to regulate blood sugar (glucose). Medical literature believes that insulin resistance is an underlying cause of PCOS along with many other factors such as our environment, lifestyles, stress, poor nutrition, etc. Some people have been told that they may have a genetic predisposition to Insulin Resistance while others develop the condition through high stress and unhealthy lifestyles. Either way, I believe that you can achieve great results by committing to changing the way you eat, exercise, manage stress, etc.
The PCOS system according to their website is not a miracle cure for PCOS. There is a note at the bottom of one of the pages on the site that reads:
"Please Note: The Insulite PCOS System is not a medical treatment and neither is it a substitute for the advice of your primary care physician. Instead, the Insulite System is a nutraceutical and lifestyle approach that supports your body's abilities to better manage or reverse your condition"
The word "nutraceutical" refers to nutritional supplements, in this case their own proprietary formula. The sites shows four of these products. In addition to taking them the Insulite PCOS system requires four other steps:
1. Nutraceuticals (their own supplements)
2. Nutrition
3. Exercise
4. Addiction Awareness
5. Support
As a Health/Wellness Coach, I do not believe in improving health unless my client is committed to the above steps 2 through 5. There is no product out there that offers quick miracles. If you are going to spend the money purchasing Insulite supplements, I hope you also consider the other steps to achieve the desire results. A word of caution, one of their products contains testosterone, a male hormone. I suggest you consider talking to your doctor before taking testosterone.

I have been taking the supplements for 3 weeks now and I have lost 4.5 pounds and my hair has grown back. I am finally happy. I am so happy this worked for me because birth control only made my PCOS worse! On the birth control pill I gained a ton of weight my periods went psycho and my hair was falling out. I think these insulite pills ate worth going to your doctor to talk about them and see what is best for you.
January 16, 2011 - 1:25amWow, this is really exciting to read this. I just started this program, it is my first month. I'm feeling better and have less stress and more energy. I was hoping it was not just in my head.
February 4, 2011 - 2:16pmThank you for you post. I noticed last fall how thinner my hair was becoming. Since then it is really become much thinner. In fact I got my hair cut this week and it is the first time in my life I cried all the way home. I have been trying to keep my sugar levels down with natural supplements. My nurse practitioner suggested start taking zinc to help with the high testosterone. Well I think my problem is far beyond what zinc can help with. So I am very excited to order my Insulite products and try them. I will keep you posted as soon as I get them!
February 19, 2011 - 5:49pmI also took the insulite labs pcos system. I was sick of the male pattern hair growth and always being tired. My doctor kept suggesting I take birth control and metformin or to have a hysterectomy if I was done having kids. I didn't like either of those ideas and started looking for treatment options online and that's when I came across the insulite labs website. It gave me a lot of helpful information about the condition and even told me things my doctor couldn't tell me. I decided to try the product and was glad I did. I started taking the supplements on March 18th and almost immediately started seeing results which was a big shock for me. I had more energy and slept straight through the night vs taking naps And not sleeping at night. At the time, we were not trying to get pregnant. After being on the product for five weeks I found out I was pregnant. Now I'm 23 weeks along with a healthy baby boy all thanks to their program.
September 4, 2011 - 3:53pmThat is great news because I have read about this about 5 months ago and did not buy it because it was expensive for me while not working but now that I know how well it works I will give it a try! Thank you so much!
