Is asthma contagious?

My daughter is not allowing me to see my granddaughter because i had asthma and she things is contagious. I told her NO, but she doesnt believe me.

Asthma itself if not contagious. Have you always been asthmatic? It can't be passed on from holding a baby.
Some kinds of bronchitis that happens virally (and then leads to asthma) can be contagious but it's the bronchitis, not the asthma. Your daughter is ill-informed. Perhaps a note from your doctor could help?
