there is a great link between manic depression and borderline personality disorder i mean the patient how has bipolar has the ability also to be personality disorder?

Just like several physical conditions can be linked, so can mental illness so yes, people can exhibit symptoms of borderline personality disorder -especially with mood instability, but also more (click here for more information on BPD : http://www.empowher.com/condition/borderline-personality-disorder ) as well as classic symptoms of Bipolar Disorder - read more on that here and when you compare symptoms, you can see certain similarities : http://www.empowher.com/condition/bipolar-disorder.
However, someone with one of these disorders does not necessarily have to have the other.
