Hey. I am on my first month of pills, but the first day of taking them i also took some medicine for my stomach that has Hypericm Perforatum (i am not sure how to write that in english). In the leaflet it said it decreases the effectivity of the pill. We will use extra protection (condoms) but my question is- if he rubs his penis on me without a condom, will spermacides decrease the risk of getting pregnant? Can you even use them while on pills? (with estrogen and progesteron)

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

Hypericm Perforatum is a plant, also known as St. John's Wart. It is generally used for depression (and also for stomach discomfort) but is not to be used with birth control so you need to stop taking it and use a different kind of remedy for stomach upset.

Spermacides will help guard against pregnancy but you're better off using a condom. When you stop using Hypericm Perforatum, you need to still use condoms for 7 days to allow your pills to become effective again.
Genital to genital contact is not safe. A condom needs to be used.
Best,
Susan
