I am on the pill.. Tri estrylla. I normally have a 26 day cycle with a period of 4 days. I started my period March 21st on which I started a new pack of pills and it ended on the 24th.. I had sex with my bf of the 24th and 25th. I missed my pills those days of sex and a few days after. Then I took 2 pills a day til I was caught back up on them. According to the period tracker I ovulated 2 days ago and now I am bleeding with mild cramps.. It doesn't feel normal. Could it be because I missed those pills then took 2 at a times for 2 days? Or what could be going on? I am curious!!

Guide

Hello and welcome to EmpowHer,
Missing pills, and then doubling up can cause severe PMS-like side effects and disrupt your cycle.
So, its important never to double up on pills, even if you missed a few. If you miss a pill, take it as soon as you remember, then start again with the next pill at the regular time. If you miss a pill completely for a whole day, take it the next day at the regular time, but do not double up.
The cramping and vaginal bleeding you are experiencing is most likely from the disruption in your cycle, not from pregnancy.
However, if you do not get your period in the future, take a pregnancy test.
