Bleeding between periods on birth control

I've been bleeding between my period for almost two weeks now, and I'm wondering if it's normal or if I should see a doctor. I'm on birth control, and I've missed two pills in this pill packet, so I don't know if that's what caused it or if it could be something else. I'm also wondering how long I should expect it to go on before it stops. It's just light bleeding, but it's been pretty consistent for the last week and a half. I'm just wondering if it will stop on its own or if I should do something else. Thank you!

Hello and thank you for sharing your question.

You should not be experiencing bleeding between periods, especially since you are on birth control.  You need to see a doctor right away.  It may not be anything serious, but it should still be treated.  You doctor will be able to tell you what steps to take next depending on the cause.
