Blood in Vagina when i went for my smear test

I recently had my 3 yearly smear test on Monday this week. The nurse did the test but said i had blood inside as if i was just finishing my period. I had my last period on the week of the 11th July. Today Friday i have started bleeding. I am not always regular with my periods so could this just be my period has come early but i dont understand why i had blood on Monday. Also the last couple of weeks previous to this i have had two bubble blisters appear on the lip of my vagina, they have both gone now but i am concerned there is something else wrong. Should i just wait to see if i will get a result from my smear test?

Hi Susan

Thanks for your comment. The nurse said the results should be with me in 2weeks but they may not test because of the blood and i may have to go back to have another one done.

I'm going to wait for the results as it's only a week now, hopefully they will have been able to do the test but if not i will find out if the blood is still there when i go for another test! Either way i will do something next week.
