Body changes from weaning?

My daughter will be one year old a week from today. At 9 months we were breastfeeding 4 times per day. At 10 months I cut it back to 3. At 11 months, we went to 2 but I express both times and give her that mixed with some whole milk during the day. She's doing great with it, but I have been experiencing some odd things and not sure if they are related to weaning or something worse. I have had prolonged pain in the area of my ovaries for about 2-3 weeks of each of the last few months. The last 2 months I have been experiencing twinges of pain in different areas of my abdomen, which seem similar to pains in my abdomen the first month or two after delivery. I also get fuller quicker for the last month. It seemed like I couldn't eat enough when I was still at 3 times per day. I just experienced my first period post pardum and it was very heavy and bleeding lasted for 11 days. I have been experiencing sadness, lonliness and unrest for the past two months and I do have a history of depression and anxiety that are directly correlated to my hormones so I have been keeping an eye on that, but I'm wondering if I am just getting anxious again or if other women have experienced these symptoms when weaning. I was reading an article in woman's day and it listed these specific physical symptoms as early signs of ovarian cancer. I am 27 years old with PCOS and did have to use fertility drugs to conceive my daughter. Should I call my doctor or is it just weaning related.

I found the article from susan when I searched the web and it brought me to this site.

I am not experiencing any irregularity. They are just twinges of pain that don't really seem associated with a particular activity or area of my abdomen. After I posted this, I noticed them on sunday, but not yesterday or today. Some of it may be stress or it could be that my stomach is shrinking because of the eating. My MIL never breastfed my husband and last evening I was explaining to her about how I never really felt full the whole time I was pregnant or breastfeeding, but now i get full rather quickly.

I have also felt a lot better with regards to the depression the last few days. It has been a little more than two weeks now since I have cut back to two feedings a day, but today I cut back to one, so not sure if I am through the worst of it or if I will have it every time I reduce by a feeding. I do not have anyone close to me that breastfed for as long as I did or without supplementing formula so I don't really have anyone to discuss it with.

I was so glad to find the article by susan, but in searching the web didn't find much regarding physical changes in your body other than the breasts.

I will go back for my yearly exam in October and wasn't sure if it was something that I should just wait it out or get in there before. I forgot to mention the ovary pain when I had a physical in July, but it wasn't occuring at the moment, but started a day or two later.
