Q:

C-section complication or something else?

Hi! I am 35 and 17 months ago I had my first child via c-section. (At 33) I have always had insanely regular periods and even after I started periods again after her they went back to every 28th day like clockwork. Well, in December I missed my period all together. It came in January (a week late) and now have missed again in February. I have been having some painful tenderness in my pelvic region right where my scar is. I'd say a 4 on a 1-10 scale. And when my daughter jumps on me, it hurts as well. These are my only symptoms. I am overweight though. But I've always been heavy/plus sized and had regular periods. I am not pregnant and not on birth control. Any insight is appreciated :)

Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for reaching out to our community for help.

But, I urge you to telephone your gynecologist's office, report this and schedule an appointment.

The concern is painful pelvic tenderness and this change in your menstrual cycle. You need to be evaluated, in person, by your physician. Please keep us updated.

Regards,
Maryann
