I was in a small car accident on the fourth of the month . I recieved alot of injury to my abdominal area and knees from air bag deployment. Alot of bruising but seemed ok . today is the 10th and all day I have been suffering from sharp pain along my spine. no other obvious symptoms. But sitting or lying down the sharp pains come and go but are severe. Could this be an accident related problem?

Hi DeeDee,

Most car accidents will cause back pain even if you didn't feel it to begin with. Usually the impact from the accident is enough to cause some type of disruption on your back. The best thing you can do is go to your doctor for an XRay or MRI to make sure that it isn't severe. After car accidents, chiropractors are also a good idea to visit. So if you want to see your doctor and then a chiropractor please feel free to do so. I personally prefer the manual adjustments over having to take medication which do not address the actual issue on hand.

Best wishes,

Rosa
