Q:

Can this be considered a period?

I've been having blood discharges for the past few days, usually the discharge being a red/bright red with a mixture of brown but it was never enough to where it would stain my underwear. Now I'm bleeding bright red blood lightly, enough to stain a pantyliner but not fill a pad. I usually have my period in this time of the month. I read that bleeding bright red blood usually represents a very light period. Can this be a normal, very light period I am going through?
