Guide

Hello Anonymous,

Welcome to EmpowHER. Thank you for coming to us with your concern about a painful lump in your armpit. So glad that you have called your gynecologist. Please keep us updated on what your doctor says.

There are lymph nodes, called axillary lymph nodes, located in our armpits. Lymph nodes are part of the lymphatic system, and are located throughout our bodies. They are an important part of the immune system and can become inflamed or swollen in response to an infection.

Regards,
Maryann
