If so would it also include swelling? I have type 2, and I have been tested for gout, and I am clear. This comes and goes, I'm experiencing my third time, it lasts for several days, then just goes away.

Hello Anon

Thank you for writing.

You may have diabetic nerve pain in one foot only but there could be other conditions can also cause swelling on feet like:

Being overweight
Blood clot in the leg
Increased age
Leg infection
Veins in the legs that cannot properly pump blood back to the heart
