I also notice my eyes being blurry a few days before getting my period. For me, it usually only lasts throughout one day.
Thought I was imagining it!!

Hi Anonymous

Have you discussed this with your health care provider? I have a few thoughts, but am wondering if this is your only symptom.

Some migraines can cause this kind of feeling, are associated with the menstrual cycle, and don't always cause head pain. I also wonder if you are diabetic or hypoglycemic in general and whether dietary changes during your period like eating more chocolate, etc., are causing changes in your blood glucose. That can affect your vision, too.

There are other things such as thyroid issues that can affect your vision. I suggest you mention this to your provider so you can have some lab work done and make sure everything is okay.

If there are other symptoms that go with this feeling and you'd like to discuss it further, please let me know. Thank you for writing.
