My period is usually 3-4 days long. My last cycle I had sex on the very 1st day when all I had was some spotting. Then the next day I had clots and I NEVER have clots. It has been about 1.5-2 weeks now and I am having mild cramps here and there and my uterus is also feeling tender and soft. Can I be pregnant?

Hi Anon,

Periods can vary from month to month, some months being heavier than others. Even if you have never had clots before, this is normal and can happen even if it only happens once in a while. The small cramps you may be feeling now could actually be ovulation cramps also known as mid cycle cramps.

If you had a period then you are not pregnant, you can verify this by taking a pregnancy test.

Best Wishes,

Rosa
