Hi, I gave birth on July 22, 11 had a unprotected sex 5 weeks later so I took plan B had a normal period on August 24, 11. It's Sept 28, and I have yet to have a period I took 2 pregnancy test yesterday and today and they came back negative I have had unprotected sex since the plan B can it be a possibility I'm preggo or is this the side affect of Plan B skipping the following month period and If preggo why isn't it being detected in urine yet. Thanks.

Hi TReams1229,

Congratulations on your new baby!

As excited as you may be to be a new mommy, I'm sure you aren't planning on having another baby 9 months from now (Or are you?!)
Plan B, while very effective, has a not-so-funny way of messing with our menstrual cycle. Sometimes after taking it it can come earlier, later, heavier, or lighter. We get a lot of questions regarding this on the site but it's an expected side effect of the medication and for some reason when a lot of our members get their period, they may skip the following one or have to wait a long time to get it again. Don't despair-- just wait patiently for your period. By now if you were pregnant you would have a positive pregnancy test.
