Maryann Gromisch RN Guide

You cannot catch alcohol induced Hepatitis C because there is no such condition. Let me explain. Alcoholic hepatitis is acute inflammation of the liver. It is caused by excessive consumption of alcohol. Hepatitis C is an infection caused by the hepatitis C virus. It leads to inflammation of the liver. It is spread through contact with the contaminated blood of an infected person. In rare cases, hepatitis C can be transmitted by sexual contact with an infected person.

I hope this clears things up for you,

Maryann
