today I was in a sexual encounter with a female who has vaginal herpes, she did not tell me until after(crazy I know) im losing my mind. I fingered her, received oral, and slapped my penis on her skin of vagina. She claims she hasn't had an outbreak in 4 months but when I was fingering her and touching her on top of her panties she said shes very sensitive and seemed like it hurt, she also stopped me...I am extremely concerned. I did not have intercourse with her or oral on her vagina...I only touched it with my fingers and lightly once with my penis quickly. How much of a risk am I. If she had an outbreak and if she didn't, because obviously I cant believe a word she says. She did say she was on medication though. I am so freakin scared!!! HELP ME PLEASE

Thank you for your question and welcome to Empowher. Herpes can be transmitted by skin to skin contact therefore, if she had any sores, there is definitely a possibility. If you had contact, you will see symptoms within 2 to 30 days. The symptoms will be flu like symptoms, open sores, and severe pain. They last about two to four weeks. You should follow up with your doctor if you show any signs.
Condoms often help with herpes outbreak although they can show up in areas outside of the vagina and if so, condoms may not be successful as like I said skin to skin contact will cause the infection to be passed on to the partner. I hope this information helps and good luck.

This is the info I got from the girl (AFTER the sexual encounter) she claims this, she had herpes for about a year now, shes taking Valtrtex 1 Gram (1,000mgs) a day and has not had an outbreak in a long time. She said she highly doubts I will get anything from her, that She is sexually active all the time. I don't belive everything she says but some I guess. LIke I said I was naked and next to her, didn't go anywhere near inside the vagina but was around it for a SHORT period of time, and I did finger her, I did not see anything visible on the outside of her vagina or legs or stomach so that's good but did not look around inside lips or inside vagina (obviously). After I fingered her I kind of wiped my hands off before touching myself ( its so weird I did these things its like my subconscious knew something was wrong with her) and then received oral. But again she has vaginal herpes not simplex 1. So I am at pretty low risk her correct? But defiantly need to get checked out, and not trust the ladies as much ?
