Can I get pregnant during my periods with protection?!

On my second day of my period I had sex with my boyfriend. It was in the shower so it felt cleaner. I'm on birthcontrol (it's the inactive week right now) and never miss a day or take it late by many hours. He also pulled out many minutes before he was done. I relieazed after that I could still become pregnant. I have a period tracker and me periods are always accurate so I would imagine that my ovulation day would be too which means it would happen a few days after my finished period so even if there was sperm in me it couldn't last 8 days. so with birthcontrol, withdrawal, and early period am still at risk for pregnancy?

Hi Tay532,

Thanks for posting, What makes you think you weren't protected? Just because you were in your inactive week doesn't mean that you are not protected. If you take your birth control pills as directed, then you are protected against pregnancy by up to 99%.

Try not to worry, you should be fine. Remember that birth control pills do not protect against sexually transmitted diseases, so if you are concerned about the possibility of STD's, please use a condom.

Best of luck,

Rosa
