Obviously the school Ms Anon went to as well as her family are severely at fault for letting her slip through the cracks to ask such a 1950s question...strange and sad in this day and age

Hi Anon,

You cannot get pregnant through dry humping. Your period may be late due to stress and the weight gain is unrelated to pregnancy.

No, it is nothing to worry about. A menstrual period will not always be exactly the same cycle-to-cycle, and be heavier, lighter, different color (pink, red, brown or combination of these), shorter or longer duration, PMS or no-PMS, etc.

A menstrual period that lasts longer than 7-10 days, or one where you experience severe pain or extremely heavy bleeding (soaking more than one pad or tampon every hour) would be the time to check with your doctor.
