I had a softball size cyst removed from my ovary about three months ago. At that time my DR. took out my tubes since I already have 5 kids and he also removed the paraguard that was currently in place. Now a few months later I'm suppose to not be able to be pregnant but took 3 test they say positive and I haven't had a period. Is this possible .... is this really happening right now. I've did have 2 of my children while on Mirena so am I just a dang baby machine?!

Guide

Hi Anon,

Thank you for sharing your question with the EmpowHER community.

If you don't have your tubes it's unlikely that you are pregnant,  unless you had IVF treatment. Since you didn't mention IVF, I'm wondering, did you get the positive results from administering a home pregnancy test?  I know they are reliable forms to test pregnancy, but I can definitely see why you are perplexed.

Have you made an appointment with your doctor? Or at least discussed your concerns with a nurse in the office?

I would go get checked out to see if something else is causing your HCG levels to be elevated.

I hope this helps.

Be well,
